Our Partners
Choosing Organic for our family
We understand the importance of education and finding support to help make our farm and our produce the best it can be. This is why we have partnered to become certified Organic by PCO. We are also Pa Prefered and hold the add-on organic certification from the Real Organic Project.

A Family Farm
Swallow Hill Farm was started in Ottsville, Pa in the 1980s by the Nagel family. They worked the farm for many years taking pride in using sustainable and organic practices and sold their produce to area restaurants.
In 2017, the Penecale family purchased the farm. We continue to learn so much about the land. In 2021 we became USDA Certified Organic by PCO. During this time we learned a great deal about new techniques and processes to help our farm to thrive and worked to make sure that our fruits and vegetables would be as healthy as possible for ourselves and our community.
We are members of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS), and the Plumsteadville Grange #1738.
Each season we grow a variety of organic tomatoes, peppers, greens, and flowers. We have an orchard growing apples, pears, tart cherries, persimmons, and chestnuts.
Thanks for your visit!
